Separatist leaders paid tributes to Qayoom Najar

Srinagar, Sep 27 (Only Kashmir): The Joint Resistance Leadership and Salvation Movement Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat have paid rich tributes to Hizb ul Mujahedeen slain commander Ab Qayoom Najar who was Wednesday killed in an encounter.
In a statement to Onlykashmir, the Joint Resistance Leadership including Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Dr. Muhammad Omar Farooq and Muhamad Yaseen Malik while paying rich tributes to Hizb ul Mujahedeen slain commander Ab Qayoom Najar, said that he devoted his whole life for the freedom of nation and strived for a sacred cause.

Senior Hurriyat leader and chairman Salvation movement, Zafar Akbar Bhat paid tributes to slain commander Abdul Qayoom Najar and said that it is need of hour that all resistance leaders should forge a unity among its folds and merge all parties into one single unit as ‘’All Parties Huriyat Conference’’.
One leader, one constitution and one goal is the only workable way out, said Zafar Akbar and added that, JRL doesn’t represent any platform or any unity.
Meanwhile longest surviving militant commander Qayoom Najar was laid to rest at his ancestral village in Batpora area of Sopore late last night following two rounds of funeral prayers.

Authorities on Wednesday imposed strict restrictions on the movement of motorists and pedestrians in Sopore town of north Kashmir to prevent protests against the killing of top militant commander Abdul Qayoom Najar.
Najar 43, a resident of Sopore, was active in the armed struggle since the year 1999 and had joined the ranks at the age of 16. According to police Najar baptized in militancy after killing of then HM Chief Commander Ab. Majid Dar who had entered into dialogue process with Government of India in the year 2000. He was also involved in a number of IED blasts carried out by HM in North Kashmir in Sopore, Pattan, Handwara, and Baramulla. Najar according to Police was involved in attacks on mobile towers and killing of some civilians affiliated with Hurriyat in 2015. In 2015 police circulated a most-wanted notice for Najar announcing a reward of Rs 10 lakh.(OK)
