Hina Khan’s presence in Big Boss goes unseen in Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 29 (Only Kashmir): Born in a Kashmiri family the 30-year-old Hina Khan’s participation as celebrity contestant in eleventh season of Indian reality TV series Bigg Boss show goes unseen in her homeland unlike the hue and cry erupted over Dangal girl Zaira Wasim’s Bollywood fame and meeting with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti.
A patient of asthma, Hina become a household name after she was featured as Akshara in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai in 2009. She is currently a contestant on reality show Bigg Boss season 11 that airs on Colors TV, however, unlike other contestants in show Hina lacks the majority support of her homeland i.e. Kashmir.

“Be it the ideal bahu, dutiful wife or caring mother, her on-screen character of Akshara probably is the role model of every relationship. I had voted for Sapna Choudhary but surprisingly she was eliminated, now I am looking to vote Hina,” said Chowdhary Rabia Shafiq a Rajouri based Social Activist and Journalist, when asked her views about Hina.
Pertinently, Zaira Wasim, the Kashmiri teen who shot to fame for her stellar role in Aamir Khan’s blockbuster “Dangal”, was unwittingly caught up in controversy over her meeting with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti in the backdrop of the unrest in Kashmir.
The 16-year-old Zaira first posted an apology for “offending” and “unintentionally hurting” people after her meeting with CM Mehbooba kicked up a row and trolled online but later deleted the post.
Prior to entering the Bigg Boss house, Hina last year participated in adventure-based reality series Khatron Ke Khiladi where she finished up as the 1st runner up. That time the performance of Hina was lauded in nook and corner of the country, however, majority of the people in Kashmir at that time also turn a deaf eye.
Recently, Hina landed in a controversy after she posted a photo celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi. She was trolled by netizens in social networking sites.
Pertinently, monitored by 90 cameras the Big Boss show total prize money for the Winner this season is Rs. 0, yes you read it right Rs Zero and it all because of some mistakes by contestants during the task.
