Two matches of Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament played on Sunday

Srinagar, Dec 03 (Only Kashmir): Hundreds of cricket fans braving cold thronged Islamia College at Hawal Srinagar to catch a glimpse of two league matches of the second round of ongoing Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket Tournament between MRCC v/s PCC Batamalo and Srinagar Wonder Boys v/s Srinagar Gymkhana on Sunday.
The first match of the day was won by MRCC by 5 wickets after they successfully chased the 143 runs target set by PCC Batamalo. Adil Ahmad of MRCC turned hero of the day with 53 runs of entertaining knock in just 38 balls. He was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding performance. The award was presented by Javeed Ahmad Zargar & Mohammad Farooq Jan members of Jamia Market Traders Association. Senior members of the organizing committee S. Manzoor, Tanvir Sidiq and Aqib Sidiq were also present on the occasion.

In second match Srinagar Wonder Boys set a target of 149 runs to their opposite team. Mohsin Ahmad of Srinagar Gymkhana created history after he took a five-wicket haul for the first time in ongoing seventh edition of Shaheed-e-Milat T20 Cricket tournament.
Chasing the target Srinagar Gymkhana took the match to last over of the game where they needed 10 runs to win the match with 4 wickets in hand, however, they failed to finish and lost the game by just 1 run.
Muzaffar Ahmad’s knock of 55 runs and 3 wickets helped him to declare the player of the match. The award ceremony of the match was presided over by Haji Ghulam Muhammad, President Rajouri Kadal Traders Association.
On Monday two matches of the tourney will be played at Islamia College Srinagar.
