131 persons killed in two twin aviation accidents

Tehran, Feb 18 (Only Kashmir): Six days before 71 persons were killed in a plane which crashed near Moscow, today an Iranian commercial aircraft Sunday crashed in southern Iran, killing 66 people, taking the toll of total 131 persons death in two twin aviation accidents in just a week.
As per the international media reports Onlykashmir.in received here, an Iranian commercial aircraft carrying 66 people crashed on Sunday in southern Iran.
Authorities said the plane was flown by Aseman Airlines, a semi-private air carrier headquartered in Tehran that specializes in flights to remote airfields across the country. It also flies internationally.



The Iranian Red Crescent said it has deployed to the area, which was quite foggy at the time of the crash. Authorities said they would be investigating.
Under decades of international sanctions, Iran’s commercial passenger aircraft fleet has aged, with air accidents occurring regularly in recent years.
Following the 2015 landmark nuclear deal with world powers, Iran signed deals with both Airbus and Boeing to buy scores of passenger planes.
Pertinently, a passenger plane carrying 71 people crashed minutes after take-off from Moscow’s Domodedovo airport killing everyone on board. (OK)
