Kashmir Golf Club (KGC) bags best Heritage Golf course award

Srinagar, April 23 (KNB): In a heartening development recently Kashmir Golf Club (KGC) has bagged “Best Heritage Golf course” award in North India from Golf India Association at India Golf Expo in Bangalore. The award was received by Secretary, KGC Nuzhat Gul from President, Golf Industry Association.
Pertinently, voices and Industry has applauded it post flood revival within shortest possible time. This golf course has been redesigned by Australian architect Mr Phil Ryan.
While talking to The Kashmir News Bureau , Secretary Kashmir Golf Course Nuzhat Gul stated – “It is a matter of great pride for us that Kashmir Golf Course has bagged the prestigious Best Heritage Golf Course Award . We Spoke on physical issues management of golf courses at the meet .Nothing gives me more pleasure than talking about turf issues and I would also applaud the dedication shown by the staff and those managing the golf course in best way. We are determined to keep the world class standards intact and achieve pinnacle.



Nuzhat Gul who has received education from globally reputed institutions has a great know-how and exuberance in world of Golf Sports . With a degree in horticulture and landscape, and specialisation in turf management from the University of Massachusetts, Nuzhat Gul, is the first woman in India, who has been a turf manager at the 18-hole Royal Springs Golf Course (RSGC) in Srinagar, and was then elevated to the post of secretary.
Over the years, Kashmir has emerged as premier golf destination of the world with enthralling golf courses spread throughout length and breadth. (KNB)
