Kashmir: Unknown gunmen shot dead 4 persons in 12 hours

Earlier another civilian Muhammad Ashraf Mir was shot dead by Unknown gunmen at Harwan Bomai in Sopore on Friday evening.

Srinagar, May 05 (KNB): Unknown gunmen Friday night shot dead two civilians identified as Ghulam Hassan Dar and Bashir Ahmad Dar at Gulshan Mohalla, Shahgund Hajin, north of Kashmir. Meanwhile, in South Kashmir a special police officer Showkat Ahmad Dar was killed by suspected militants at Rahmoo area of Pulwama, South Kashmir on Saturday 9.30am. Earlier another civilian Muhammad Ashraf Mir was shot dead by Unknown gunmen at Harwan Bomai in Sopore on Friday evening.



Reports reaching Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) that during the intervening night of 4/5 May 2018, unknown gumnen barged into the houses of Gh Hassan Dar (45 years old)@ Hassan Rassa son of Jabbar Ah Dar and Bashir Ahmad Dar (26 years old) son of Abdul Rehman Dar (A sumo Driver). Both resided at Gulshan Mohalla, Shahgund Hajin. And abducted both of them.
At about 3:30 Am on 5th of May, the gunmen shot both of them dead. The dead bodies were found by the locals near a mosque at Raheem Dar Mohalla ,Shahgund, Hajin. Gh Hassan was the uncle of Bashir Ahmed.
Meanwhile, reports said that gunmen fired at Showkat Ahmad Dar, son of Mohammad Ahsan Dar, near Petrol pump at Rahmoo village of Pulwama South Kashmir, Saturday at around 9:30 am. The slain was a special police officer (SPO) of Jammu and Kashmir police in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Pertinently on Friday evening another civilian Mohammad Ashraf Mir son of Muhammad Jamaal Mir resident of Harwan Bomai Sopore, a Sumo driver by profession was killed and after he and his wife was shoot dead by the suspected militants.
A police spokesman said that preliminary investigation suggests the involvement of outfit LeT in the incident north Kashmir incident, adding, cases into the incident have been registered, and investigations taken up. (KNB)
