Book titled ‘Gender & Education in Jammu and Kashmir: Cross Sectional Trends’ released in Srinagar

Srinagar, Jul 18 (KNB): A book titled ‘Gender & Education in Jammu and Kashmir: Cross Sectional Trends’ authored by Dr. Waqar-ul-Nisa was released in Srinagar during an impressive function organized at College of Education Moulana Azad Road Srinagar in collaboration with Kashmir’s prominent publishing house Jay Kay Books.
Besides a large audience comprising of general public and students, the function was attended by several socio-political leaders, activists, academicians, writers and journalists including Dr. Parveen Pandit, Zareef Ahmad Zareef, Anjum Zamruda Habib, Sheikh Waseem, Mushtaq ul Haq Ahmad Sikandar, Dr. Javed Kamili, Mushtaq Barq, Dr. Nazir Ahmad Qadri, Tanveer Ashai, Dr. Fayaz Ahmad Nikka and others. Vice Chancellor Cluster University Sheikh Javed Ahmad was Chief Guest on the occasion. The proceedings of the event were conducted by an eminent broadcaster Amin Bhat.



Hailing Dr. Waqar-ul-Nisa for her literary contribution, the speakers congratulated the author for her achievement and dedication.
The author of the book, Dr. Waqar ul Nisa described her ordeal during the research and writing of the book and thanked the publishers for making the book available to common masses.
