New Delhi, Aug 03 (KNB): “Pakistan was not doing enough for Kashmir,” this was stated by incarcerated Chairperson of Dukhtran-e-Milat Asiya Andrabi in a letter to Pakistan’s former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in a letter to latter during his visit to New Delhi on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendera Modi’s oath ceremony.
According to National Investigation Agency (NIA), Asiya Andrabi during her interrogation admitted that she had tried to reach out to Nawaz Sharif.

In 2014, she had sent a letter addressed to the former Pakistan prime minister stating, “Pakistan was not doing enough for Kashmir.”
Asiya along two female associates Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen was arrested by NIA last month in ‘sedition case’ and is currently lodged in New Delhi’s Tihar Jail.
The letter to Sharif was sent through Pakistan Embassy New Delhi to which Nawaz responded by saying, “We are doing our best.” A year later he posted a condolence letter, through post after Asiya’s mother’s demise.
She has also admitted that she has been hoisting the Pakistan flag on August 14 for the last 35 years. NIA sleuths had earlier this week reached her Srinagar residence to gather evidence from the location where the flag was hoisted.
Pertinently, Asiya Andrabi’s husband Qasim Faktoo was recently shifted to Jammu jail from Central Jail Srinagar after almost 25 years. (KNB)
