Terming October 27, 1947, a slur and black spot on the face of Indian democracy and a big question mark on the credibility of United Nations, Engineer Hilal urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to observe October 27 as a black day.
“ Government of India , in violation of all norms of humanity , decency, democratic principles and even the United Nations Charter, deployed Indian Army , supported by Indian Air Force on October 27, 1947 , to wage a war against the people of Jammu and Kashmir , on the pretext of the so-called Accession which was a mockery and deception to hoodwink the International Community”, said Engineer Hilal.
The PPP Chairman said that it is imperative to create and establish diplomatic centers in all world capitals in a view to impart actual legal and political status of Jammu Kashmir and diplomatic channels should be opened across the world to draw the attention of the world community towards Human Rights violations committed by Indian security forces and the illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir territory which is not only against the wishes of its inhabitants but also against the philosophy, purpose and the very existence of United Nations.
