Srinagar, Dec 08 (Only Kashmir): Incarcerated Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP) and senior Hurriyat (M) leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, on Saturday, asked India and Pakistan to initiate a “time-bound” composite dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said, “Unresolved Kashmir issue is a nuclear flashpoint and is causing a potential threat of a nuclear war hovering over the entire subcontinent. In order to avoid any likelihood of nuclear confrontation which can engulf the entire world and disturb the International Peace and Security, a sustained dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmir is imperative.”

“By creating a warlike situation, India cannot bypass or kill Kashmir problem. India has but to concede the right of self-determination of the people of Kashmir sooner or later and cannot escape from this issue. It is better and wiser to get engage in a meaningful and result oriented dialogue as early as possible,” he said.
War was arrested on Thursday which is seen as a preventive measure by the State police to foil Human Rights Week programme aimed at highlighting “grave human rights abuses committed by Indian forces in every nook and corner of Kashmir.”
