Riyaz Naikoo hails Mirwaiz’s unity efforts, condemns Jamia Masjid incident

Srinagar, Jan 06 (Only Kashmir): Breaking his silence over the Jamia Masjid incident,  top militant commander Riyaz Naikoo on Sunday strongly denounced the incident which took place on 28th December and evoked a widespread condemnation from all sections of the society.

Pertinently, a handful number of masked youth on Friday 28th December stormed into Srinagar’s grand mosque and waved ISIS Flags from its pulpit with shoes on. The incident left entire valley in a deep shock and cutting across the political lines evoked a widespread condemnation.



Riyaz Naikoo, in a video, which gone viral on Social media strongly condemned the unfurling of ISIS flags inside Jamia Masjid. He said under a well planned conspiracy a diversion is being given to our freedom movement.
Quoting the United Nations Resolutions on Kashmir, Riyaz Naikoo said there is no mention whether the Kashmir should have Democracy or Shariyat as a political system.

“The ISIS is rejected globally by the scholars and linking our movement with ISIS will weaken our case at UN,” Naikoo said and added  waving the ISIS flags amounts to betrayal with the blood of martyrs.



Riyaz Naikoo also hailed the Hurriyat (M) chairman and Jama Masjid Chief Cleric Mirwaiz Umar Farooq for his unity efforts saying  Mirwaiz is working hard to unite the people of Kashmir.

Naikoo also appealed the families of militants not to allow PDP President Mehbooba Mufti to their homes.(OK)
