Kashmir’s Pulwama roads again painted with blood, 9 killed

Srinagar, Feb 18 (Only Kashmir): The roads of Pulwama Kashmir have painted again with human blood, three days after an IED suicide attack consumed the lives of over 44 Central Reserve Police Forces (CRPF) personnel. Today nine persons which include 4 Army men, a policeman, a civilian and three militants among them one believed the master mind of IED attack.
Reports reaching Onlykashmir[dot]in, that an encounter between government forces and militants raged during the intervening night of 17-18 February at Pinglena area of Pulwama district resulting the killing of 4 Army men and three militants.
“An army men who received major injuries during the encounter later succumbed to his injuries taking the toll of death to eight,” a civilian identified as Mushtaq Ahmad was also hit by bullets in the ‘Cross Firing’ resulting in his ‘on spot’ death,” reports said.
Among the slain militants one was identified as Abdul Rashid Gazi, considered as mastermind of the IED suicide bombing that killed over 44 CRPF personnel.
The identity of the other militant was identified as Hilal Ahmad Naik, while as the identity of the third one was not ascertained till this report was filed.
Reports said that clashes between government forces and local youth also broke out near the encounter site following the news of civilian’s death came into light. (OK)
