Jammu & Kashmir Awami Forum to participate in Parliament Elections

The JKAF leaders said that the party intends to lend a helping hand to around 10 thousand poor girls of Valley for their marriage expenses.

Srinagar, Mar 13 (Only Kashmir): Addressing a presser in Srinagar, the Jammu & Kashmir Awami Forum (JKAF) on Wednesday announced to participate in forthcoming parliamentary elections, adding, the names of the candidates will be announced very soon.
JKAF senior leaders Dr Abdul Rashid Banday, Farooq Ahmed Ganie and Ghulam Mohammed Chopan while interacting with the media person at a local hotel in Srinagar said that the manifesto of the party is based on to get Kashmir valley free from dynastic rule, drugs and corruption, adding, the prevailing volatile situation forced party to jump into the parliamentary elections.
They said, the party under the dynamic patronage of leading humanitarian and world renowned spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar will shine in the forthcoming polls.
Pertinently, 2,200 candidates on behalf of JKAF participated in last year Panchayat Elections independently, out of which 1072 candidates won the elections in which 202 were elected Sarpanches and 870 were elected Panches in Kashmir division.
The JKAF leaders said that the party intends to lend a helping hand to around 10 thousand poor girls of Valley for their marriage expenses.
Besides the JKAF top leadership, a number of party workers and activists were also present on the occasion.
