Awami Itihad Party leader vows to resolve Kashmir issue

Awami Itihad Party (AIP) led by Sheikh Abdul Rashid on Sunday vows to resolve lingering Kashmir issue if voted to power in state’s assembly elections.
Addressing a presser in AIP’s proposed candidate for Baramulla Constituency Mohammad Rafeeq on said his party has the capacity to bring resolution of the Kashmir dispute.
He said so far all the political parties in Kashmir has given a fake sense of hope viz a viz resolution of Kashmir issue, adding, if voted to power the party’s first preference would be to resolve the Kashmir issue.
Rafeeq said the development is inevitable; however, the need is to bring the long lasting peace in state by resolution of Kashmir issue.
Pertinently, Mohammad Rafeeq quit the post of National Conference Vice Block President Sheeri Narwaw and also Panchayat Membership to join the fold of Sheikh Abdul Rashid led Awami Itihad Party. He is likely to fight assembly elections from Baramulla Constituency. (OK)
