NIA conducts fresh raids in alleged terror funding case

Srinagar, Sep 06 (Only Kashmir): The National Investigation Agency on Wednesday conducted fresh raids and searches at six locations in Srinagar and three in New Delhi in connection with its ongoing probe into the alleged terror funding case a day after Agency arrested a photographer and a farmer from Kashmir, identifying them as stone-pelters.
On Wednesday the NIA raids in Srinagar on the houses of Bashir Ahmad Kaloo r/o Hamza Colony Bemina, Showkat Ahmad Kaloo r/o 63 Hamza Colony Bemina ,Srinagar, Abdul Rashid Bhat r/o Hamza Colony, Bemina, Firdous Iqbal Wani r/o Hamzah Colony Buchpora, Srinagar, Sajad Syed Khan r/o Halmatpora,Kupwara A/p Ummarabad Zainkoot HMT Srinagar, Imran Kawoosa, Kawoosa & Sons Nowhatta Srinagar.

In Delhi NIA raids at Ganga Bishan Gupta r/o C-4/5A, Ground Floor, Near Piyau, Model Town & Shop No 8A, Gadodia Market, Khari Bawli, Firoz Akhtar Siddiqui r/o 2151/11B, New Patel Nagar Near Khera Hospital Opp Shadi Pur Depot Delhi, Sunil Kumar Jain 66-B Gadodia Market, 1st Floor,Khari Bawli, Delhi.
Earlier, besides Kashmiri businessman Zahoor Watali, the NIA had arrested seven pro-freedom leaders.
On Tuesday the NIA arrested Kamran Yousuf, a photographer working for the the past couple of years and a resident of Pulwama, is one of the arrested. He contributes photos to the daily newspaper Greater Kashmir.
The other arrested person is Javaid Ahmad Bhat, a farmer from Khudwani area of Kulgam.

The NIA has identified 117 suspects who allegedly led stone-pelting groups of youths, using WhatsApp groups to spread instructions.
Sources said forces on Wednesday cordoned off parts of Downtown Srinagar amid raids by the National Investigation Agency.
