Two-Day IT fest – TechKnow concludes at Delhi Public School, Only Kashmir felicitated

Srinagar, May 11 (Only Kashmir): The two first of its kind IT festival-TechKnow, organized by Delhi Public School Athwajan, Srinagar concluded here today. With the participation of hundreds of student from over 40+ elite schools of the Valley, the event focused on providing hands on training on various platforms of Information and Communication Technology. The event was presided over by Adnan Shah and Mufti Arfaan, with coordination of Ehsan Quddusi. Being the Media partners of the event Chief Editor Only Kashmir www.onlykashmir.in was felicitated with a certificate and memento by Principal, DPS Srinagar, Mrs Kusam Warikoo.
More than 200 participants from across the valley registered and interacted with their counterparts on the festival. Students from the DPS fraternity including DPS Budgam, Baramulla, Anantnag and Rajouri attended the festival. The festival also attracted students from other schools both within and outside the city. Schools like Doon Public School, Linton Hall School, Delhi Modern Public School, Srinagar International School and Sanctorum Public School Sopore also recorded their presence.
Appreciating the role of Delhi Public School in promotion of education, the Minister for Education, Naeem Akhtar said said that IT has made unprecedented advances and it can help us to expand our knowledge and such events provide a clear view of opportunities and challenges of an increasingly connected world to students.
The participants were provided training in specially designed workshops held on six different technologies: Web Designing, Graphic Designing & Visual Effects, Open Source & Linux, Networking & Ethical Hacking, Video Editing & Animation and PHP Programming. The workshops received unanimous appreciation and approval by the participants. Each workshop was perceived to be the right blend of fun and learning. The role of the school was highly commended.
Being the Media partners of the event, on the occasion two constituent news organizations of Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association, including Kashmir Media Watch and Only Kashmir were felicitated with two certificates each. Geo Soft IT sponsor of the event, Noor-Ullah was also felicitated.
Pertinently event from past 2 years has attracted huge crowds with over 40+ elite schools of participating each year in this event of one of its kind in the valley. Organized in the state of art infrastructure, campus of Delhi Public School, Srinagar this event focuses on providing hands on training on various platforms of Information and Communication Technology like Web Designing, Graphics Designing, Networking and Ethical Hacking, and Open Source.
