Yasin Malik arrested, shifted Central Jail Srinagar
Srinagar, Mar 18 (Only Kashmir): A day after JKLF Chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik asked ruling dispensation if they truly believe in democratic norms and ethics they should allow election boycott campaign of the resistance camp, police Saturday morning cordoned JKLF office at Abi Guzar Srinagar and Before being taken away by police, JKLF chairman while speaking to media said that Kashmir has been turned into a police state where every norm of justice and democracy is being trampled by ‘occupational’ authorities.
He said that civilized world has some norms regarding the election process and according to these norms casting vote or boycotting it, is every ones democratic right. He said that on one hand so-called rulers facilitate the people participating in elections. They are being provided every facility and police, bureaucrats and employees are engaged for them but on the other hand pro-boycott people are terrorized, raided, arrested and put in jails, said JKLF chief.
Calling for a complete boycott of upcoming Indian elections, JKLF chairman said that boycotting elections is our democratic right and moral duty of every Kashmiri and to safeguard our valuable sacrifices we all should keep away from casting votes or participating in these farce elections.
Earlier on Friday terming election boycott as a democratic right of people, JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik said if ruling dispensation truly believe in democratic norms and ethics they should allow election boycott campaign of the resistance camp.
