02 Militants killed, 01 surrenders in Shopian encounter

Srinagar, Sep 10 (Only Kashmir): Two Militants were killed while the third surrendered in an encounter with government forces which started in Barbugh area of Shopian South Kashmir.
According to the police spokesman, Shopian police along with 44 RR launched a cordon and search operation in Barbugh area of Shopian. During searches, Militants hiding in the area fired upon the search party.
Two Militants were killed in this encounter who were identified as Altaf Ahmad Rather son of Mohammad Maqbool resident of Awneera Zainapora, Shopian and Tariq Ahmad Bhat son of Mohammad Ibrahim resident of Barbugh, Shopian and one identified as Adil Hussain Dar son of Nazir Ahmad Dar resident of Chitripora, Shopian, surrendered.
Arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site.
