Lucknow, Oct 17 (Only Kashmir): Notwithstanding the controversy over one of the wonders of world, the Taj Mahal, CM of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath aimed to bring end to all speculations is scheduled to visit India’s leading tourist attraction Taj Mahal after festival of lights Diwali on October 26.
Iconic Taj Mahal has got entangled in a web of controversy after Taj Mahal was dropped from tourism booklet by state government earlier this month. On Monday BJP MLA Sangeet Som called it a blot on Indian culture and said its creator wanted to wipe out Hindus, however, Yogi Adityanath chose not to endorse the remarks of Sangeet Som and said that Taj Mahal was built by the blood and sweat of Indian labourers.
Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan however argued that why should Taj Mahal be singled out and instead Rashtrapati Bhavan and Parliament, which he called symbols of slavery, must be demolished too.
The name Taj Mahal, a powerful brand in itself, has often been caught in controversies, sometimes surrounding the 17th century monument, and at other times through its many namesakes.

Yogi will visit the Taj Mahal on October 26 and announce development works around the monument in an exercise seemingly aimed at containing the damage caused by the controversy. The list includes a garden walkway between the Taj Mahal and Agra Fort, and a project to stop the damage being caused to the foundation of the Taj Mahal by the Yamuna.
The state government had earlier said it would spent Rs 370 crore on the development of the Taj Mahal and Agra.
