Mirwaiz condemns Egypt attack, derogatory language by journalist

Srinagar, Nov 25 (Only Kashmir): The head of the Kashmir based council of scholars Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has strongly condemned the deadly attack by extremists on a mosque in Sinia province in Egypt on Friday that left 235 worshipers dead. Mirwaiz also condemned the using of derogatory language against the family of Prophet Muhammad (S) a New Delhi based journalist Rohit Sardana.
Mutahida Majlis-e-Ulema head and the chairman of his Hurriyat Conference faction Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expressed shock and grief and condemned in strongest words the deadly attack by extremists on a mosque in Sinia province in Egypt on Friday that left 235 worshipers dead stating that such dastardly acts are deplorable and intolerable acts of terror.
Mirwaiz said those who have targeted the innocent worshipers in a sacred place of worship are enemies of Islam and humanity and should be severely punished.

Mirwaiz expressed solidarity with the families of all the martyrs of the dastardly act and stated that the entire Kahmiri nation stands with the families of victims in this hour of grief and sorrow. Mirwaiz prayed for the speedy recovery of all the injured in the attack.
Mirwaiz also condemned the New Delhi based news channel Aaj Tak anchor Rohit Sardana for using derogatory language against the wife of prophet Muhammad (SAW) Hazrat Aisha (RA) and Prophet’s (SAW) daughter Hazrat Fatima(RA) stating that that it is against the basic ethics of humanity to talk in a derogatory manner against those , especially religious figures held in great reverence and respect by members of a community. Mirwaiz said Muslims will not tolerate it and such act can have serious ramifications.
Mirwaiz said ever since RSS backed BJP took over the reins of India, majority of news channels have been employed in Islam and Muslim bashing and deliberate attempts are made to promote a hate campaign against Muslims and muslim figures in history and their role.
Mirwaiz also expressed concern over the Bangladesh government’s decision of granting death penalty to two Jamaat-e-Islami activists. (OK)
