Srinagar, Dec 20 (Only Kashmir): The Army has organised a National Integration, Educational & Motivational tour to Delhi and Agra for 30 girl students from various schools, colleges and 1st Bn NCC of Srinagar. The students are accompanied by 02 female teachers and a team from Army.
Maj Gen R Ravi, GOC 31 Sub Area, flagged off the nine day tour from Badami Bagh Cantonment today which will entail visits to premier Educational Institutes and Industries including Miranda House, IIT Delhi, Jesus & Mary College, Lady Hardinge Medical College, Ericsson Telecom India Pvt Ltd and DMRC. The students will also get an opportunity to visit the places of rich cultural heritage which will cover Taj Mahal, Agra Fort, Lotus Temple, India Gate and Red Fort. They would also be interacting with the Hon’ble Defence Minister of India, Nirmala Sitharaman.
The tour participants will also get unique opportunities like Delhi Metro train joyride, Movie at PVR and visits to Kingdom of Dreams, National Rail Museum, National Science Centre and Tank Museum at Delhi.
The parents, guardians and teachers who were present at the flagging off ceremony also expressed gladness at such opportunities being afforded by the Army. They applauded the efforts of Army in conducting such career oriented tours and further enlightening the bright future of the students in the times to come. (OK)
