PDP Legislator denies involvement in Sex Scandal

Jammu, Feb 05 (KNB): Denying his involvement in alleged Kulgam Sex Scandal, MLA Abdul Majeed Paddar has said there is no doubt that the accused lady in the scandal belongs to my constituency and is among my voters, but I have never been in any type of communication with her.
Interacting with KNB correspondent on the sidelines of Assembly proceedings, PDP legislator Abdul Majeed Paddar while condemning the sexual abuse of the girl appeared in video which has gone viral on social media demanded stern punishment to the accused lady.
Pertinently, a girl from Kulgam on Sunday making stark revelations in a video has said many high profile people including politicians and police officers are involved in sexual exploitation of her and many other girls.



The girl alleged that a lady and her daughter were sexually exploiting the girls on behest of sitting MLA.
MLA Habba Kadal constituency and National Conference senior leader, Ms Shameema Firdous while talking to KNB stated that we are keeping a close vigil over the developments aftermath the revelations made by the girl in the video, adding, the matter will be brought on the floor of Assembly, if needed.
Meanwhile, Kulgam Police said that a Special Investigative Team (SIT) has been constituted to probe the case. “Case FIR No 27/2018, U/S 363,120B, RPC has been registered at police station Kulgam and investigation has been taken up. A special investigation team (SIT) has been formed by SSP Kulgam under the supervision Dy. SP Hqrs Kulgam to investigate the case swiftly and professionally,” police said in a statement. (KNB)
