Kashmir: Two police personnel killed in two militant attacks

Srinagar, Feb 25 (Only Kashmir): Two police personnel identified as SgCt Kultar Singh and Farooq Ahmad Yatoo were killed in two separate militant attacks in Kashmir valley on Sunday.



A police personnel identified as SgCt Kultar Singh who was guarding a religious shrine in Chari-Sharief area of Budgam was attacked by militants and fled away with his service rifle (SLR). Later on, the said personnel succumbed to his injuries at 92 Base Hospital in Srinagar.
In one more similar attack, police constable Farooq Ahmad Yatoo was killed while guarding Hurriyat (M) leader Fazal Haq Qureshi at his residence in Bilal Colony Soura. Militants also decamped with his service rifle. The said police personnel succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura.
Cases in both the incidents have been registered and investigation set in motion.
