Police recovered stolen properties and cash in Old City

Srinagar, Mar 26 (KNB): Acting on the reports with regard to the theft and burglary continuously reported in parts of Old City Srinagar the North City police under supervision of DSP Raja Zoheb Tanveer formed two teams led by SHO Khanyar Parvaiz Ahmad and SHO Nowhatta Waseem Jhangir while working on such cases have arrested two accused besides recovered items having valuation in lacs in a short-period of time.
During investigation of case FIR No. 108/2016 under section 379 RPC of Police Station Nowhatta 02 accused namely Mushtaq Ahmad Dar son of Gh. Qadir resident of Rarayan Bagh Ganderbal and Gh. Hassan Bhat son of Mohammad Sultan resident of Saidapora Eidgah were arrested and large quantity of ornaments and other items having valuation in lakhs have been recovered on their instance and the long pending case was worked out. Besides on 24/02/18 Police Station Khanyar worked out case FIR No. 16/2018 under section 454,380 RPC by effecting arrest of one suspect namely Sheikh Ravees Ahmad son of Mohammad Aslam resident of Mirza Bagh Nigeen and stolen items i.e. mobile phones etc worth Rs 21000/ have been recovered on his instance. Besides Case FIR No. 22/2018 under section 454,380 RPC has also been worked out in a short period by effecting arrest of one suspect Irfan Ahmad Sheikh son of Nazir Ahmad resident of Namachbal Fateh-kadal A/P Tabardar Mohalla Khanyar as tenant and stolen property, electronic items i.e. LCD, Laptop etc worth Rs 1,25000 have been recovered on his instance.



Pertinently, two Police teams were constituted by SP City North Sajad Ahmad Shah under the supervision of SDPO Khanyar Raja Zoheb Tanveer among one police team headed by SHO Police Station Nowhatta Waseem Jehangir (SI) and second team of Police Station Khanyar headed by SHO Khanyar Parvaiz Ahmad (SI).
