Srinagar, Mar 28: A family from Kashmir capital Srinagar Wednesday made a fervent appeal to its militant son to shun violence and return home for the sake of his elderly parents.
Fahad Mushtaq Waza (18), son of Mushtaq Ahmed Waza of Khanyar Srinagar had left home on March 23 to attend three days Tableegi Jamat. “We waited for him for three days and when he didn’t return, we lodged a missing report on March 26 at Police Station Khanyar. We were shocked to see his viral picture holding an assault rifle on social media,” said the father of missing son.
His mother Mymoona alleged that her son was framed in a false case by police in 2016. “He was booked on charges of stone-pelting,” she said.
The family members of Fahad Mushtaq assembled here in Press Enclave and appealed him to return to home for sake of his elderly parents.

“We lodged a missing report in Police Station Khanyar. They told us they’ll do whatever could be possible for them,” Mymoona said.
“We are shocked because Fahad never made us believe that he was inclined towards militancy. He assisted his father and spent most of the time at home,” said the family members.
“Our family is shattered. We appeal him, wherever he is, to come back home. Don’t leave us like this”, his mother said as tears rolled down her cheeks.
His two elder brothers Umar and Danish also appealed him to return back to home.
