Srinagar, April 04 (Only Kashmir): In a shameful approach, Tiger Shroff’s latest movie Baaghi 2 released on 30th March has resembled an inhumane real-life incident from Kashmir where an innocent man Farooq Ahmad Dar was used as ‘human shield.’ The director of the movie Sajid Nadiadwala while glorifying the incident which led to a worldwide outrage in 2017, is seen using a man as a human shield, tying him to the hood of his jeep to protect himself from the crowd.
In Baaghi 2, Army officer Ranveer Pratap Singh played by Tiger Shroff is seen using a man in Kashmir as a human shield, tying him to the hood of his jeep to protect himself from an angry crowd.
The real life incident is related to Farooq Ahmad Dar, an innocent Kashmiri voter, forcibly used as a human shield by Indian Army Major Nitin Leetul Gogoi to deter stone pelters in the valley on April 9, 2017. The incident took place during a by-election in the parliamentary seat of the city of Srinagar. Although the incident had sparked massive condemnation, the Indian army officer was awarded military honours for his ‘sustained’ efforts in “counter-insurgency” operations.
Pertinently as per Onlykashmir[dot]in monitoring desk, Jammu and Kashmir State Human Rights Commission chairperson Justice Bilal Nazki directed the state government to give the compensation amount of Rs 10 lac to Dar, however, government declined to compensate.
Recently, an Indian clothing brand, T-Shirt Bhaiya, owned by Tajinder Pal Singh Bagga, the spokesperson of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Delhi unit, launched t-shirts with the caricature of Dar tied against the Indian army jeep.
