Srinagar, April 05 (Only Kashmir): Panic gripped in parts of Srinagar city after government forces allegedly vandalized the property of the inmates in two different places at Bhishambar Nagar Khayam and Zaldagar area.
The locals of both areas alleged that the government forces vandalized the property of the inmates and broke all the windows, doors and cars after they came under heavy stone pelting in the areas.
The locals from Bhishambar Nagar Khayam here in Srinagar city have alleged that Para-military troopers stationed at Ikhwan Hotel let loose a reign of terror and damaged parked vehicles and property after coming under a stone-pelting incident.
Mushtaq Bashir has also apprised Director General of Police, Inspector General of Police and Deputy Commissioner Srinagar of the situation.
A local news agency CNS reported that a resident, Mushtaq Bashir, in an e-mailed statement said that on Tuesday some unknown youth after hurling stones at 82 Battalion CRPF Camp at Ikhwan Hotel fled away in return Forces personnel vandalized the property of the inmates of the locality and broke all the windows, doors and cars of the locality.
In similar kind of its incident in Zaldagar area of Srinagar a group of youth pelted stones on forces, in return, the government forces vandalized properties of at least 10 houses besides beating youths. As per JKNS report, a resident namely Muhammad Sidiq’s two vehicles were damaged by the forces. The force’s action according to the locals created panic among the residents. (OK)
