Srinagar, April 28 (Only Kashmir): Adding one more star to the standards of Kashmir’s one of the leading educational institute, two students of the Delhi Public School Usman Javid of Class IX and Hansika Kaur Kohli of Class XI have been adjudged the winners of a cooking competition, and awarded the title of ‘Big Chef Kashmir.’
The event witnessed participation of more than 200 people of all ages across three rounds. Nineteen students of the school participated in the first round, out of which 17 were selected for the second round. The students pitched in their best and six students made it to the third and final round.
In the finals, Usman was declared the winner of the Cooking Competition, while Hansika was adjudged winner of Baking Competition. Both were feted with mementos and a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- for Usman and Rs 5000/ for Hansika.
The Principal Mr. Alistair R.A Freese has congratulated the students, and expressed his great delight at their feat. The Pro Vice Chairman DPS Srinagar, Mr. Vijay Dhar also extended his heartiest congratulations to the students, and expressed great pride that students continue to excel not only in academic endeavours but also other fields of life.
