Srinagar, April 29 (Only Kashmir): In a swift impact to a news carried by a local news agency (Kashmir News Bureau) over the harassment faced by the Kashmiri students at Desh Bhagat University Punjab in form of being asked to deposit high fines as high as Rs 3 Crore (approx) on different pretexts, the Mehbooba Mufti led J&K government has decided to take up the issue with relevant quarters.
It is learnt that the state Government has decided to take up the issue with the Ministry of Human resource Development and University authority of Desh Bhagat.
On Saturday a local news agency Kashmir News Bureau (KNB) reported that Kashmiri students pursuing in various courses at Desh Baghat University Punjab have alleged that they are facing several harrasment issues from the administration of Desh Baghat University, Mandi Gobindgarh Punjab, under which they are being asked to pay the fine of Rs 3 Crore (approx) on different pretexts.
“We would like to express our gratitude to the Kashmir News Bureau the manner in which the issue of undue discrimination faced by us was highlighted and are hopeful that with intervention from the state government it will get due heed and our sufferings will end,” a student said here.
Pertinently, today also Kashmiri students had protested highhandedness of Desh Bhagat University. Earlier on February, news has come on forth that Kashmiri girl students at Desh Baghat University, Mandi Gobindgarh have alleged high-handed and torture type approach from their faculty.
