London, Aug 04 (KNB): Senior leaders and intellectuals of the Kashmiri Diaspora will meet on 5th August 2018 in Luton, England to deliberate on proposed to abolish of Article 35A, which provides safeguards to fundamental rights of Kashmiris and protects their identity, and recognizes the right of Kashmiris to self-determination.
Kashmiri leaders and intellectuals will engage in evolving diplomatic strategies to effectively counter India’s onslaught on the destruction of Kashmiris’ national identity with the abolition of the state subject law which in fact is implemented in Jammu Kashmir from 1927.
In a statement issued in this regard by professor Zafar Khan who is the head of Diplomatic Bureau Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front said that the 5th August meeting is a response by the Diaspora leadership to the call of the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) in Jammu Kashmir comprising of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Mirwaiz Muhammad Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik to counter Indian Government’s machinations against the legitimate and internationally recognized right to freedom and self determination of the people of Jammu Kashmir.
