9th Muharram procession taken out in Gaw Kadal

Srinagar, Sep 20 (Only Kashmir): Exhibiting the Shia Sunni unity the 9th Muharram procession was carried out in Gow Kadal Srinagar, as earlier decided in Shia Sunni Coordination Committee.
Witnesses said that the procession started from Gow Kadal bridge and culminated at Basant Bagh area. A number of Pro-freedom leaders including Muhammad Yasin Malik, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Sufi Mushtaq Ahmad and others also participated in the procession.



Mourners including women, men, children and old were seen wailing during the procession. They were also raising slogans in favor of Karbala martyrs.
The decision to carry out the procession was decided in Shia Sunni Coordination Committee as such to demonstrate unity among Shia and Sunni communities.
