Srinagar, Oct 31 (Only Kashmir): Continuing with its youth reach out programs Inspire Me Foundation organized one day girls’ leadership camp at Doodhpathri, Budgam during which serious topics including youth issues, gender justice, and leadership modules were discussed.
The one-day event titled ‘Stepping Up 3’ saw the participation of more than a dozen participants from different fields. The motive of the event was to combine adventure with activities that inculcate, hone and polish leadership skills among the young girls.
“Inspire me has been organizing such events for girls because there are very few platforms where girls can discuss issues. Inspire Me has been undertaking such events in different countries as a part of its campaign to empower girls and women” stated Mushtaq ul Haq Ahmad Sikander, Head Research and International Advocacy, Inspire Me.
Besides Mushtaq Sikander, the resource persons on the occasion were included Muhammad Tauseef (Research Scholar) and Bilal Bashir Bhat (Eminent Young Journalist) whereas organizational help was provided by Muhammad Umar (Columnist).
More than a dozen participants were benefitted by the leadership camp. The participants hailing the organizers for this event stated that there is a need to organize more such events on monthly basis.
Certificates of participation were also distributed on the occasion. The event was funded by participants itself.
