Seminar titled “Democracy and Elections” held at IASE Srinagar

Srinagar, Mar 25 (Only Kashmir): A day long seminar titled “Democracy and Elections” was organized by institute of Advance Studies in Education (IASE) on Monday which witnessed the participation of faculty including Principal Dr. Seema Naz and students.
During the seminar, a number of speeches were delivered by the students and the faculty members of the college. The first prize for best speech was bagged by prominent young author and debater Mushtaq ul Haq Ahmad Sikander. Besides, Nibraaz and Anees Ali bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
The inaugural address of the event was delivered by eminent novelist and writer Prof. Fazal Elahi, besides Prof Bashir Ahmad Bhat, Prof Gurmeet Guar and Principal Dr Seema Naz also addressed the gathering. The proceedings of the seminar were conducted by Prof Sabina.
The speakers on the occasion deliberated on the relationship between the democracy and elections and essence of elections in forming a vibrant democracy.
The students on the occasion while talking to Onlykashmir[dot]in, hailed the college administration for conducting such programmes. (OK)
