Three days training program for teachers on drug de-addiction held at SMHS

A discussion about the better understanding of role and responsibilities of law enforcement agencies regarding the patients with drug use disorders was also held.

Srinagar, Jun 21 (Only Kashmir): Three days training program for teachers on drug de-addiction and other Mental Health issues in children and adolescent was organized by CNC-IMHANS-K in collaboration with JKSHRC and Department of Education-Kashmir concluded today at General Health Community Centre SMHS.
On the inaugural session, Justice Bilal Nazki, chairperson JKSHRC were the chief Guest and Director school Education -K as guest of honor. Principal GMC Welcomed the Guests, Speakers and teachers. More than 50 Teachers from different districts attended the training program.
The program was aimed at creating awareness and sensitizing the attendees about the drug abuse, the workshop included interactive sessions and presentations about identification of substance use disorders, providing basic counseling and making necessary referrals for further management of these disorders.
A discussion about the better understanding of role and responsibilities of law enforcement agencies regarding the patients with drug use disorders was also held.
The trainers includes Dr Yasir Hassan Rather, Sameer Ahmad, Dr Hamid Ismaile, Dr Sanjeet Kaur, Dr Sadaqat Rehman, Dr Syed Karar, Dr Insha Mehraj, Syed Mujtaba (Lawyer CNC), Wasim Kakroo, Farhana Yaseen, Mr Shaheen.
The workshop was concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms Shabnam Rashid who thanked the participants, the trainers, administration for their support and active participation in making the training program a success.
