Srinagar, April 09 (Only Kashmir): Besides being a threat to life, the deadly Conona Virus outbreak has put the whole world on hold, everyone has been forced to stay in isolation in their homes. The complete lockdown has undoubtedly hit the downtrodden and poor members of the society.
The financial distress caused by the lockdown is witnessing a rise from the last two weeks. Given these circumstance many NGOs/Trusts across the globe have come forward to meet the challenges of needy people in their respective areas, including Kashmir.
In such times, two Kashmiri Youth Mr. Zulkarnain Shah and Mr. Umar Qadir have developed a mobile application ‘Baitul Maals Kashmir’ where needy people will have an option to contact the required NGO/Trusts as per his/her catchment area.
The Baitul Maals Kashmir as per the developers is an information app about the Baitul Maals/NGO’s working in Kashmir valley for the betterment of society. Users can search Baitul Maals by their addresses, pin codes and names. Users will see a detailed description of the Baitul Maals along with their authentic phone numbers and contact them from within the app.
Talking to Onlykashmir[dot]in, one of the developers of application Umar Qadir said that this application will help the needy to contact the NGO/Trust directly on the given details there, adding, the application will also overcome to end the menace of fake NGOs who reportedly collect money from the people on pretext of charity.
The 3.4MB sized application is available on Google Play store besides and requires 5.0 and up android software.
