Media Federation of India urges instant settlement of outstanding bills

Arun also urges esteemed heads of different states and Union Territories, corporate offices and other institutes to settle the outstanding bills of newspapers, magazines and news channels till 31st March 2020

New Delhi, May 14 (Only Kashmir): National President, Media Federation of India, Mr. Arun Shama has appealed Minister of Information and Broadcasting Mr. Prakash Javadekar to ensure instant settlement of outstanding bills of advertising at Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity (DAVP) and other government institutions till 31st March 2020.

Pertinently, Media Federation of India is an umbrella body of about 20 prominent media organizations of India with some 15000 members from 24 states and UTs, existing for the last 14 years.

Besides Central government, Mr. Arun also urges esteemed heads of different states and Union Territories, corporate offices and other institutes to settle the outstanding bills of newspapers, magazines and news channels till 31st March 2020 so as the people working in media sector can combat the unprecedented financial crises due to the outbreak of COVID-19.

He said by this gesture of clearing the bills, the pending salaries of employees at different media houses could be cleared. He said due to the present prevailing situation many newspapers are at verge to collapse which will surely affect a large number of employees as well as their families.

Mr. Arun hailed the efforts of Gujrat Chief Minister Mr. Vijay Rupani for his initiative to settle the outstanding bills of government sponsored advertisements till 31 March 2020.
