New Delhi, May 29 (Only Kashmir): What can be more surprising, Prime Minister Narender Modi’s home state Gujrat based company headquartered in Ahmadabad city “Azafran Innovacion Ltd” expelling almost 700 of its employees without any prior notice despite the fact PM earlier urging companies to not fire employees due to coronavirus lockdown.
According to the employees of Azafran Innovacion Ltd- associated with organic products and solutions, they have received an official mail calling for closure of Beauty Advisor (BA) counters across the country citing the reasons of “Force Majure event declared by the Government of India.”
“Through this mail, it is being communicated that we are closing retail channels due to Force Majure event declared by the Government or till the period we can cope-up with situation. At present we assess it will take two to three months and we shall send you the notice when we resume,” the mail reads.
Not only the plus 650 BAs across the country, the company also hit a notice to its sales and marketing representatives informing about 60% of salary cut w.e.f 01.04.2020. “As we have temporarily shut down retail channels, the period will be treated as unpaid. We further assure you that this unpaid situation is unfortunate and we look forward to your return when we are able to resume business.”
“We at Azafran tried to hang in the difficult situation however sadly we need to temporary shutdown our business enabling us to fight back strongly once operational are restarted,” the mail reads.
Expressing shock over these mails, the helpless employees stated that there was no need to windup the business as many other companies are smoothly working in the present circumstances, however, with the reasons known to only we along with our families are left on god’s mercy.
Employees appealing the state heads to look into the matter said even our belonging company mails were also blocked so as to prevent us question to the company administration regarding this unjustified decisions.
Meanwhile main distributors of the company across the country said that almost payments of Rs 70 Million have been paid in advance to the company, while as the sale of the remaining stock is impossible without Beauty Advisors.
When this News Wire contact one of the owners of company Ms. Mansi Vyas she put the phone stating it was a wrong number. While as Ms. Pooja Srivastava, DGM-HR despite repeated calls prefers to not pick the phone.
