Mission Wushnare: KWT distributes food-kits, winter kits and stationery Items among Needy

Srinagar, Dec 20 (Only Kashmir): After the successful culmination of Phase-I of Mission Wushnare in November 2020, and after repeated requests from different quarters of the society to continue this Mission in which hundreds of unprivileged families got benefitted, Kashmir Welfare Trust aimed to extend Mission Wushnare’s Phase-II into this month (December 2020) as well.

In this regard, an inaugural event of Phase-II of this mission was held today (20th December, 2020) at Bilaliya Educational Institute. Pertinent to mention that this Mission is being carried out by Kashmir Welfare Trust, in association with Food 4 Poor, Food 4 All Group and Moral Education, Environment & Relief council (MEERC) of Private Schools’ Association J&K.

After the sudden increase in the intensity of cold KWT (under this programme) is aiming to ensure deprived who can’t afford fine woolens and state of art heating gadgets are empowered to fight the chill the winter by distributing among them (the identified families) Kangris, Woollen Pherans, Woollen Dress, hot water bottles, thermals, woolen caps & Food-kits etc. Moreover, sewing machines, cycle, & warm electric blankets were also distributed among specially-abled and school books among the students were also distributed (courtesy Coaching Centers Association).

This mission was kick-started around 3:00 PM today at the school premises in which numerous personalities belonging to different occupations participated besides volunteers and staff of Kashmir welfare Trust, MEERC and Food for Poor Group. Notable mentions in the event: G.N.Var (President PSAJK), Ms Mantasha (Food 4 Poor Group), Dr. Rafiq Ahmad (Ex Director Education), Prof. S Khushid ul Islam (Kashmir Education Initiative, Infaq Foundation), Mohammad Shahid (President Coaching Centers Association), Ms. Shafaqat Gillani (Autism Welfare Trust), Zahoor-ul-Haq (Madad Charitable Trust), Hanan Majid, Suhail Hassan, Safura Amin, Yasir Khanyari and others.

In the first instance, around 100 beneficiaries were provided the winter kits on the spot, while as the distribution process will continue and the volunteers of Kashmir Welfare Trust will be delivering winter kits at the doorsteps of the identified beneficiaries subsequently.
