Alternative platform for young writers and Artists “Rhyvers” launched in Kashmir

The Website shall provide space for young and aspiring Poets, Short Story Writers, Painters and Photographers from the Valley as well, who often don’t find space on mainstream Platforms.

Srinagar, Jan 17 (Only Kashmir): Kashmir-based young passionate art lover Affan Yasvi Saturday launched first of its kind Website titled ‘RHYVERS’ aimed at providing an endless eclectic space for Art and Art Connoisseurs to showcase their Poetry, Short Stories, Blogs, Painting and Photography and other creative skills.

Apart from having other surprising features in its fold, that shall be revealed shortly, one of them being an Electric Talk Show hosted by New Delhi based Poet/Artist Deepika Chand called ‘Twinkling Conversations with Jugni (The Mind Wandress)’ interviewing established and upcoming Artists from All Creative fields.

The Website shall provide space for young and aspiring Poets, Short Story Writers, Painters and Photographers from the Valley as well, who often don’t find space on mainstream Platforms.

The editorial board team of ‘The RHYVERS’ include Author Azra Mufti, Journalist Bilal Bashir Bhat, Poet/Artist Deepika Chand, Poet Mou Sircar and Photo Artist Jayati Saha, besides Yesvi himself.

In addition it also has an Advisory Board which includes Artist, Photographer Alison Pinto, Poet Author Neena Singh, Writer, Poet Roma Wani, Poet, Author Santosh Bakaya, Journalist Rajni Shaleen Chopra and Yesvi.

“As we have seen people in the valley developing keen interest in so many things during the Covid-19 Lockdown which includes learning New Languages, developing interest in Poetry and Short Story Writing, Painting, Calligraphy, Photography etc. However their art which had remained limited to social media shall now find a legitimate space in mainstream Platforms such as ours said Editor in Chief of ‘RHYVERS’, Affan Yesvi.

Speaking on the Inaugural Session of the Website, speakers applauded the young Affan for the new and innovative idea of promoting young writers and artists.

In her speech, Roma Wani said, “The world has changed from last year and everyone is looking forward to something new, I’m looking forward to seeing this platform providing our young generation a platform to showcase their talent, and I believe every piece of writing which comes to it should have a purpose.”

Neena Singh said “People had potential but in the routine day to day life it was submerged and lying hidden and this social isolation brought it forth, people started giving venture to their creative energy and Rhyvers is a platform for such people to showcase their hidden talent.”

Rajni Singh Chopra while congratulating the Editor in Chief of Rhyvers for coming with the digital platform for young and budding Creative Writers said “Whatever as of now is available on the portal is amazing to read and delightful.”

Santosh Bakaya advised the editorial board to organize regular contests on the portal so that it would remain always in news which is a success for the portal, “there should be regular columns for young Writers about creative writing to mentor them.”

Geeta Dass, appreciated the move by Affan to promote the talent in digital format.

Azra Mufti said in the form of Rhyvers we are given a standard platform to people who can contribute in any art form, who has the capability of contributing to the society, I’m hopeful that it turns out to be a brand in the field of Artistic Creativity.

Bilal Bashir Bhat on the occasion said, Kashmir has got an abundance of talent and in the Corona pandemic lockdown it burst out like volcano, “I personally observed many people developing an interest in Poetry, Calligraphy, Creative Writing, etc. but what stops them to flourish their talent is an authentic platform, I believe Rhyvers is such a platform which will give hope to newcomers to flourish their passion. He suggested Rhyvers should extend its columns to Satirical Writing as well.

Nalani Priyadarshani, “said I’m hopeful that this platform will create a history to bring budding artists on one platform.

Deepika Chand, appreciated Yesvi’s initiative, calling him a quiet unassuming man in line with the flow of water but who has the capability of moving mountains with his sheer Will for providing a platform to all those who hold the potential to contribute to Society and said she hopes to create a Legion of Poets, namely ‘Jugnis and Jugnus’ (fireflies) who write with fire in their bellies.

The RHYVERS has a parallel YouTube channel, which will give recognition to these artists, the channel will broadcast Talk Shows and Interviews of Young and Talented artists of the valley who will contribute for the Website.

The simpler the idea, the better its execution, hence, Artists shall be requested to submit their Artwork either through the Internet or in person, the RHYVERS’ and once cleared by the Editorial Board team it shall be published for all to savor them and open them for comments, feedback and even constructive criticism.
