‘Education For All’ is The Book written by Dr. Sabahat Aslam for the students of class XII. It was released at the University Of Kashmir on 29th June 2020. In this book, the author has covered the entire syllabus pertaining to the students of JKBOSE Class 12th. All the Chapters in the Book are mostly based on or supported by research data in education. The overall language of all the articles is quite lucid and the arguments put forward are convincing. The Author has beautifully illustrated every topic in simple language. All the Chapters in the Book contain important dimensions of education.
The contents in this book are to the point and written in very lucid language. Overall, Reading and Writing Across Content areas is designed to be teacher and student-friendly, so that literacy is achieved in every classroom and students can, indeed, become lifelong learners. The Author’s goal has been to provide a clear and intuitive approach to these topics while maintaining an acceptable level of accuracy.
The author herself writes that ”she felt the need for this book when she used to teach 12th class students of Education during her Contractual appointment at Higher Secondary Level. This Book is an attempt to cover all the syllabus of the 12th class ‘Education’ subject prescribed by Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE). She writes that she is sure that this book will help the students to understand every topic with great clarity and comprehensiveness. This book is an effort to make the topics easy and understandable to the students”.
There are ten Chapters in the Book, starting with ”Curriculum Meaning and Concept”. The Other nine Chapters are Co-curricular Activities, Development of Education in J&K, Population Education, Educational Thinkers, Educational Statistics, Growth and Development, Mental Health, Learning and Adjustment and Maladjustment respectively.
It is worth mentioning here that the Author is MA, M.Ed, NET, M.Phil, and Ph.D. in Education. She has many Papers Published at National and International peer-reviewed and referred journals. She has also attended several National and International seminars. She is also a resource Person at Indra Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and Directorate of Distance Education, University of Kashmir.
