SRINAGAR, 22 MAY 2021: “Save The Destitute Foundation” (STDF), an NGO based in Srinagar continuing its mask distribution drive on Sunday distributed some 1000 masks among the Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalist Association. Pertinently, STDF has been distributing masks to curb the spread of the deadly coronavirus for the past year.
The founding chairman of the foundation, Dr. Zaheer Abbas Jan, distributed about a thousand masks to the Jammu and Kashmir Young Journalists Association in view of the dangers posed to journalists while practicing their professional skills during the epidemic.
Bilal Bashir Bhat, General Secretary, Young Journalists Association, received the masks from Dr. Zaheer Abbas Jan, Chairman, STDF at his office in Bemina Srinagar.
On the occasion, members of the STDF commended the journalistic community for performing their professional duties during the outbreak and hoped that the use of these masks would certainly prevent the spread of Corona.
Meanwhile, 300 masks were handed over to the in-charge of Ganderbal district of the Young Journalists Association on the spot so that the masks could be distributed among the journalists working in the district.
