CIC Operators appeals LG administration for regularization and salary hike

The CIC operators have appealed to Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir to regularize the services of 172 CIC operators and interim relief to pass an order for the salary hike in their favour.

Srinagar, Jun 30: With qualification MCA, M Tech, MSc.IT, B.E &B.Tech Degrees and technically very sound, 172 CIC Operators working in Rural Development Department of J&K over the years are getting a meagre salary of just Rs 10,000 per month, while as the regularization of their services so far has remained a distant dream over the last 17 long years.

Pertinently, appointments of the CIC Operators have been made by open competition in the year 2003-04, with no hike in salary and no regularization of their services these 172 CIC Operators working in Rural Development Department live miserably and distress lives.

On 03.06.2021 General Administration Department orders to put the cases of 172 CIC operators in Establishment cum Selection Committee of J&K Govt, with this order the operators suspect more years as almost all the incumbents have crossed the age of 45 years & above.

Earlier in first instance GAD sought legal opinion from Department of Law , justice and Parliamentary affairs J&K. In 2nd instance again sought another legal opinion from Advocate General of Jammu & Kashmir. In 3rd Instance again file submitted to Finance Department for review of its concurrence but Finance Department reiterate its previous concurrence in our favour. Now, in 4th instance on 03.06.2021 Department of Rural Development Department is advised by GAD to put their cases before the Establishment & Selection Committee of Jammu & Kashmir.
