Today, when the people subcontinent is celebrating Independence Day(s), as a Kashmiri individual, I also have aspirations and wishes, but why no one pays heed to my sigh and cry. Ahh instantly, I want freedom from witnessing the spilling of human blood.

I want freedom from the exploitative forces of deceivers, nepotism, and favoritism that have been in power for years … I want freedom from hunger and unemployment.

The timely wages of the workers, the punishment of the greedy, and the secure future of my youth are the freedom of my society.

I am still worrying about scarcity of drinking water, electricity, sewerage treatment, garbage, and broken roads.

I question the world, who trapped me in the whirlpool of drugs? I want the freedom to expose such black sheep.

I wish freedom of expression … I wish economic stability and a society free from extravagance on various occasions, especially at marriage ceremonies.

I want to get rid of fake intellectuals, so-called journalists who do business with aspirations.

I have lost in the deep sea of indecency in the name of entertainment under a well-planned conspiracy, I want freedom from the noise of illiterate ignorant scholars.

I want the freedom to eradicate the ego of some in uniform, the scourge of bribery. In some hospitals, I want to punish the killers dressed in white coats. Yes, I also want freedom.
