Due to its impeccable natural beauty Kashmir is known as the Paradise on Earth, the valley boasts of a hospitality that is to be found nowhere else on the surface of the earth. With such unique characteristics, the Valley has turned into a favorite spot for filmmakers especially from Bollywood.
Considering the above characteristics, the Filmmaker Atul Agarrwal has come up with a web series titled ‘Kashmir – Enigma of Paradise’ which according to him is apolitical, unlike the movies we saw over the years either filmed in Kashmir Valley or based upon the theme of the political scenario of Kashmir, example, Haider, Mission Kashmir, Tahaan etc.
While talking with Onlykashmir[dot]in on the sidelines of ‘Muhurat’ of the web project last week, Atul Agarrwal said the film will depict a unique story of love and longing from Kashmir which has never been depicted earlier,” adding, our web series will also have many historical references from Kashmir starting from 1920. It also will focus on the beautiful state and the stories woven around the people living in it.
He also said that the first season of the series would comprise 10 Episodes of 45 minutes each. It will display 100 years of history of Kashmir starting from 1920. “The crew will stay in Kashmir for almost 4 months to shoot their entire project in the valley,” he said.
Stating that we want to do justice with the character inspired by a real story, prominent actors Rajniesh Duggall and Akanksha Puri who are playing Ghulam Rasool Kanth and Parmeshwari Handoo respectively said we are portraying the love story of the couple. It is going to cover a lot of things including the journey of lovebirds, their feelings, and emotions. The confident actors said that the web series will undoubtedly touch the hearts of every Kashmiri.
Delber Arya who is playing the role of Zeenat in the web series expressed much excitement, stating that I have my roots in Kashmir on her mother’s side.
Besides others, ‘Tiger Zinda hai’ famed actor Sajjad Delafrooz, Ihana Dhillon, Mahesh Balraj are also part of the web series. Sources said that veteran actors Naser ud Din Shah and Paresh Rawal are also approached for this mega web series project.
