A few years ago, I was in a Muslim-majority country. There is, of course, a difference between the politics there and the politics of our part of the earth.

Yes, but one thing is that governments here and there do not want violence by any shade of people be it ordinary, administration or government forces. In order to prevent violence or keep the people away from it, it was learned that the government there had promoted Mahatma Gandhi on a large scale in which Gandhi carried out his struggle for independence.

There is no doubt that Mahatma Gandhi is one of the great personalities of the world, so he doesn’t need any introduction in the true sense of the word, especially in India.

However, it is a different matter that whiles the nations of the world, irrespective of religion and nationality, are engaged in spreading the peaceful message of Mahatma Gandhi, on the other hand, in the country of Mahatma Gandhi today, his name and symbol are limited to currency notes.

It is a bitter truth that Mahatma Gandhi’s country is in dire need of his ideas and principles. The limit is that in some places Gandhiji-style protests are not even allowed.
Today, it is necessary to pledge that in addition to promoting Gandhi’s philosophy of peace, love and equality at all levels, steps should be taken to implement it in practice.
