We live in an era where seldom any Muslim lives by choice. We find it difficult when our faith is being challenged or we resist with anger and frustration when we are asked about our wrongdoings. We inherit the same ideology, the ignorant survived, in Islamic History. When the Prophets asked why do you worship the others than Allah, they replied because their forefathers did and they never tolerated a word about their worship and submissions to their Gods.- Advertisement -
Proudly saying our Prophet SAW preached to us with the best of knowledge and ordered us to follow Islam in letter and spirit through the Holy Book Quran and his Pious Household. We have an exemplary understanding from the past where the Muslims by Choice opted to move towards the teachings of Ahlulbayt (AS) and got rectified every error they possessed.
At the same time, the ignorant Muslims indulged themselves in their wrongdoings by affixing themselves what they received from their ancestors. However, their wit struck with logic and common sense at different times but they turned blind to the reality.
Likewise did the Khwarij at the time of Imam Ali a.s. They opposed Imam Ali by forgetting and ignoring the sayings of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) who teaches us a prosperous way to survive in the world by means of Islam.
Islam is a peace-loving religion and the religion where its followers are merciful and the best sympathizers. After Prophet (PBUH), Imam Ali (AS) never claimed any right, though it was due to him for the peace to prevail. He waited for 25 years and took over the charge of the Leader of Ummah, till then he served mankind silently and helped the preceding Governments in any need.
Imam Ali a.s used to get his survival from digging the wells. What shakes Common Sense is that an Intellectual of the highest ranks is making his livelihood from digging the wells. This is an example set for the Muslims to follow because what Prophet had preached, Imam Ali is carrying the same for Ummah i.e enduring hardships in the world shall be well paid off in the world hereafter. The true Islamic spirit has vanished among the Muslims.
Imam Ali fed the orphans of Kufah when every other soul in the Kufah slept snores Imam Ali used to wake up for them. He fed the hungry who had no other hope than Ali. He never disclosed his identity. What surprises the present-day Muslims is when they come to know that Imam Ali a.s was not known to these Hungry. How they came to know about him was when Imam Ali was Injured in the Mosque of Kufah and no one came to feed them and they waited all day and night, then suddenly they heard that it was Ali who has been seriously injured for the past two days and they wailed out.
Islam the religion of peace and prosperity values the animals to this extent but how unfortunate the present world Muslims do not value the lives of Humans. They keep bombarding the Schools and Masjids (Mosques). This simply implies that there is a breach between the Ummah and the sayings of the Prophet or they are not receiving Islam from the Quran and Ahlulbayt and have turned up as the vulgar living beings. We are not supposed to snatch the food from the mouth of ANT. We cannot kill an insect if rulings of Islam are being taught in true spirit and we have been killing the innocent Human Beings.
It was Imam Ali who gave us a lesson by saying that “If I am given the World to rule in the return I shall be asked to snatch a food from the mouth of ANT, I will give away the world but cannot offend the ANT”.
It was Imam Ali a.s who advised his son Imam Hassan a.s about his killer Ibn e Muljim not to hurt him considerably and not to cut his hand or injure him hard against what he did to me, If I survive I will punish him by myself and if not Kill him through only one incision of the sword. Offer him a cup of milk, as he seems feared.
What Muslims did to the son of Imam Ali in return in Karbala is known to the world. The killers pierced the Body of Imam Hussain a.s by arrows and injured him by giving Thousands of wounds to his Body and martyred him brutally. The Muslims had forgotten the teachings of Islam and turned Inhuman. A small comparison is enough to explain it.
Pathetic to see we are Muslims less by choice and we deliver our anger for commemorating the Sacred Life of Imam Ali a.s who is and who will remain a role model to the World in the times to come.
