Srinagar: Alleging absolute embezzlement in Srinagar District Development Council (DDC) the Chairman of the Council and Apni Party senior leader Aftab Malik has said that certain members of the council are involved in illegal practices and are maligning the image of the council.
In a statement, Aftab Malik the maiden Chairman of the Srinagar District Development Council (DDC) said certain mischievous members in DDC Council Srinagar are trying to malign the council image by involving themselves in misappropriations, adding, I have already conveyed to Divisional Commissioner Kashmir.
Stating, “I can never betray the trust of people,” Aftab Malik said members of the council including Shabir Reshi and Kaiser Ganei are involved in illegal practices. He said I have approached the party to depose such members immediately & oust them from party cadres, he said, such members could not contribute to the welfare of the common people, which has remained my prime concern.
