The students of Kashmir’s premier institution of higher learning, Kashmir University, have expressed dismay over the undue delay in conducting examinations, especially in the Law department.

A group of students pursuing B.A, LLB (2021-22) told Onlykashmir[dot]in that the cold response by the University administration in conducting examinations is posing a major threat to their educational careers, adding even after the passing of the due date long before the administration failed to conduct the examination with the reasons known to them only.

“The administration is bound to conduct semester examination after six months, however, ten months have passed and there is still no sign of examination, which ultimately proves all the claims of academic excellence exaggerated and mere hollow sloganeering,” said one of the students pleading anonymity.

They said no tangible efforts are being made to bring about necessary reforms in the Examination Wing, despite repeated requests by the students; adding, earlier examination Wing attributed the delay in examination and declaration of results to the COVID-19, now when all is well nothing seems positive on the ground, the students added.

The students appealed to Chancellor, Mr. Manoj Sinha, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Nilofer Khan and Controller of Examinations Dr. Majid Zaman Baba to look into the matter and ensure no further delay in conducting examinations.

Despite repeated calls to the University’s official Landline number no response was received.
