On the advent of Islamic New Year 1444, the Jammu and Kashmir Awami Aawaz leader and eminent Socio-Political activist termed the events of Karbala that happened in this sacred month as an example of justice and morality.
He observed that Imam Hussain (As) along with his companions were martyred, as they upheld Justice, morality, and humanity against injustice, immorality, and the Inhumanity of the tyranny of Yazeed.
He urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to make all the arrangements for the hassle-free movement of the mourners and expressed hope everything will be observed with religious fervor.
Syed Irfan Hashmi stated that the unprecedented terror that was unleashed on the 72 courageous companions and family members of Imam e Hussain (A.S) is highly unforgettable. Karbala is a soul-shaking tragedy. The supreme sacrifices made by Hussain (A.S) and his small contingent are not only praiseworthy but”- Hayhat minna al zilla (We never accept humiliation) is the overriding lesson for those who are determined (Azm) to live a dignified life.
Syed Irfan Hashmi said sacred plains of Karbala witnessed a monumental conflict between truth and falsehood that has become etched in the annals of history and the minds of people. The soul representing truth and justice on that occasion, Imam Hussain ( AS) is still remembered as a beacon of truth. At the same time, his adversary, Yazeed, has become a synonym for falsehood.
