Under the banner of ‘Spark Series’-a a nationwide drive to ignite creativity, motivation, and guidance in the field of creative writing and publication among college and university students, the Rhyvers Group conducted an interactive session at Govt. Girls College, Sector 14, Panchkula.
Affan Yesvi, Director, Rhyvers Press, interacted with the students of the college and informed them about the latest publishing trends in the industry, the process of submitting and evaluating a manuscript.
He also spoke about the importance of creative writing, editing and marketing trends worldwide. Rhyvers Group provides innumerable platforms and opportunities to readers and writers across all age groups through podcasts, books and magazines, blog write-ups, YouTube channels, and other literary activities, he said. He asked the youngsters to make reading a regular habit and start expressing their feelings through writing.
Dr. Sonika Sethi, Associate Professor of English, S D College, Ambala Cantt and the Executive Editor , Rhyvers Beat also addressed the students. She motivated the students to express themselves through the medium of creative writing and to unleash their latent talent through writing.
She laid stresses the fact that it is only through stories that society in general and people, in particular, can stay connected to one another. Rhyvers Media group not only provides a platform to young budding authors, poets, and creative artists of the region but also offers internships to enterprising students in the field of publication to make them self-dependent.
The session was attended by more than 150 students and faculty members of the college including students and faculty members from the English, Hindi, and Sanskrit departments.
